Alliance for Law, Governance and Environment (AlGaE)

The Alliance for Law, Governance and the Environment (ALGaE) was born at the 2007 Marie Curie European PhD Summer School on Earth System Governance hosted by the Institute for Environmental Studies (IVM) of the Vrije Universiteit, Amsterdam, in May 2007.

The aim of ALGaE is to act as a forum for international collaboration, networking and information exchange between researchers in the areas of law, governance and the environment. In particular, ALGaE was established to assist and promote transdisciplinary research on the global governance of emergent environmental concerns.
